Well of course they're changing it. I mean, can you blame them? Otherwise they'd find themselves with a license to some of my posts, and who the heck would want that?

Blair,

I too saw some of that, but apparently the EULA was an "oops" on their part and is being updated:
http://gizmodo.com/5045050/google-updating-chrome-eula-to-be-less-creepy

Other than the name, Chrome does some to be pretty interesting and I started playing with it on Tuesday.

>> It just shows that there is a circle of life

And you've just reminded me, not only of a high point, but more importantly, one that arrived in the middle of everything this summer.

One of the peaks of 2007 was Sue and Steve announcing that they were expecting their first child. And one of the peaks of 2008 was the kid's arrival.

The fact that he arrived just 20 minutes after Hodo's brother left... I can't shake the mental image of two people passing in the hall.

The civic is the third vehicle I've owned with a stick shift. It's also the very first to include a tachometer.

I told Kay what the gauge was and what it was for. Then I suggested she just ignore it.

She only came close to redlining the engine once (she was too afraid of squealing the tires). Toward the end of the lesson she started figuring out when to shift without the visual aid.

Gosh darn it. It's not good to make me cry on a Tuesday. Remember that Ecclesiastes bible verse (which I can't pull up the exact quote at work b/c it's blocked), "To every thing there is a season.." It just shows that there is a circle of life, no matter how yucky the grey days are, but it's all part of the master plan of life.

I found out this morning a co-worker of mine passed away on Friday. From cancer. I didn't even know she had cancer until today. It just continues to remind me of how good I had it during my diagnosis and recovery because I'm still here. It also scares the heck out me because my recovery may not have turned out this well.

LOL, I can only imagine the experience. Jess' mom briefly tried to teach her stick but gave up. We're up to 5 manual transmission vehicles in our stable now.

Do you have a tachometer on the Hybrid? if so, that can be useful for learning shift points as well.

The same man who wrote "This too is meaningless" also wrote "If two men lie down together, they can keep each other warm. A strand of two or three cords is not easily broken."

So yes, it is a time to cling to one another -- and to check your wallet afterward, to make sure it's still there.

If I had realized this was an annual thing, I would have stocked up on pirate supplies when I was in San Francisco.

Yes, what SueP said! No one expects you to be all monkeys and exploding Coke all the time. Do you know this saying? “When you’re up, your friends know you. When you’re down, you know your friends.”
