In the late evening on March 31, Marriott's Hunt Valley Inn was struck by an unknown object falling from the sky.  A group of hotel guests rushed to the lobby to learn what had happened and discovered a strange rock laying on the floor, just in front of the registration desk.  The rock gave off an eerie glow and several members of the group complained of dizziness before falling to the floor, unconscious.

When they awoke, each of the guests discovered that he or she had acquired a super-power.  Acting quickly, MeteorCon's crack team of Guest Relations specialists promptly signed each of the new super-heroes for their first public appearance.
